This 19-page report by UNAIDS presents current statistical data concerning how HIV impacts on adolescent girls (10-19) and young women. Pages 9-10,16-17 present data in various graphs and text boxes, which are engaging and importantly do not ‘dehumanise’ the plight of adolescent girls and young women, which can happen when women are reduced to statistical data.  The data presented throughout the report demonstrates the direct and causals link between gender discrimination, forms of physical/ institutional and structural violence and their impacts on the lack of and/or inequality/inequality access to targeted sexual and reproductive health services, social services and community support for adolescent girls and young women.
