This volume is composed of 30 chapters, all the authors are women. Some of the women write about their lived experiences with drug use. Some women write about what is happening to other women as a consequence of the criminalisation of drug use and the stigma and discrimination experienced by women who use drugs. The book is global in its scope with contributions from women from around the world. This book is a much-needed resource to counter not only the lack of female voices in the literature concerning women who use drugs, but importantly the discourses which continue to stigmatise and criminalise women who use drugs. The chapters are short, and the wide range of topics and writing styles keeps the reader engaged.
