This curriculum is based on the following four guidance documents:
- A policy brief: Women who inject drugs and HIV: Addressing specific needs.
- Addressing the specific needs of women who inject drugs Practical guide for service providers on gender-responsive HIV services.
- Addressing gender-based violence against women and people of diverse gender identity and expression who use drugs – a briefing paper.
- And technical brief: Prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, hepatitis B and C and syphilis.
The module aims to raise awareness of the particular needs of, and harm reduction responses for, women and gender diverse people who use drugs.
