Global Report on Women in Prison

For the first time, National Preventive Mechanisms from diverse countries and regions have come together, guided by the initiative of the Association for the Prevention of Torture, to produce a thematic collaboration that revisits our collective understanding and transcends national boundaries. This report exemplifies the power of the OPCAT system, demonstrating how ground-level monitoring can inform universal strategies to address systemic issues in places of deprivation of liberty, particularly for women.
